Speed up service interval
Any one know where is saved service data for oil change etc.
Would like to speed up timing as my next is in 5000miles and service wont do it before its due.
As we know bmw oil interval is crap so dont want to wait another 5k miles and would like to do ASAP
Any possibility to do that????

thanks

RE: Speed up service interval
ISTA+ has a reset option which will change and make immediately your oil change due .. i can't remember the exact name , its under the CBS adjustment ABL , not the CBS rest ABL .

but you might put yourself in bigger issue if they have a records which they do , your car will go with 5000mile less on the cluster which will look like you have manipulated your mileage . be careful as your car will marked total lost and loose warranty and free service if your dealer is an a$$hole .

what I do usually , I change the oil myself without resetting the oil interval at the halfway ( 15000KM in my case ) because I also don't trust the dealer oil. in the case the car does 15000Km only with same oil . and I am happy and dealer is happy too smile

RE: Speed up service interval
Tool32 --> press F3 ---> G_MOTOR ---> Jobs ---> CBS_RESET ---> Arguments --> Oel;XX;XX

But you have to know what you do

better open Rheingold and take a photo your last oil data , then compare..

RE: Speed up service interval
Just adjust it with ista+ under service function cbs adjustment... you can play with date and time. It will ask for last carried out service.

For example you change oil reset it and will go to 25k km and 2 years. Current mileage is 100k. You desired value is 15k km and 1 year. So you should revert 1 year so service is carried out in “ May 2018” and for mileage you can enter “90k km”. Result of this is that next service will be in May 2020 and over 15k km. This is just an example you can play with date and mileage to values you wish. It also shows you when next service would be so if you are wrong you can re enter the values.
