I'm having a clicking/clunking noise whenever I turn my steering wheel while stopped or moving very slowly (e.g. turning into a parking spot or garage). It sounds like it's coming from outside somewhere in the engine bay although you can hear it inside the cabin too. I believe it's coming from the steering rack assembly. It sounds like there's something loose that's causing the clicking/clunking sound. It happens more when it's hot outside or after driving the car a good bit (and it getting to operating temp). Any ideas?

It is necessary to remove the corrugated casing to look at the tie rod joint. It can be corroded and have rust, while not having play.
