Hello. I have a problem with coding BDC. I have retrofited now steering wheel, and szl, writed 248 fa and recode all units with 248 fa. After recode in bdc_body I have error SZL wrong option and SZL button wheel heating not installed or bad wiring. How I can change szl coding if there no szl ecu in esys ?? Someone have any ideas how retrofit heating wheel in g11 ?

The SZL does not have a separate ECU in the G-series, all the coding for that module is in the BDC. If you added 248, you should just need to code the BDC_Body, Headunit, and Kombi. I would double check the part numbers you installed are correct for your car, and the wiring if you had to run any. If you had to replace the SZL, it may have needed some extra wiring that was not there before, as I experienced when I did the retrofit on my F30.

wiring all the same, from szl wiring goes to the bdc_body in old one szl and new one, but bdc_body shows error that button not installed, button light working when turning on car lights.

Old steering have only vibration actuator. New steering have vibration actuator and heater.

Just to ask, why did you replace the SZL? On the G11 (using a 2015 G11 for reference) there are only 2 versions of the SZL for cars with the vibration feature, one with High Beam Assistant and one without. For adding the heated steering wheel, you should not have needed to replace the SZL. I would suggest to try putting your original back, the putting the new wheel on, and see what happens then.

I have changed szl, szl bad option error gone, but problem same, shows error that button not installed or bad wirring. Closer to the evening I will send all errors because I can't remember how the errors sounds. Heating button on steering wheel, not under SZL module.

With heating steering wheel solved problem. Now I need code other szl, maybe someone can help ? Error in ista wrong variant szl and says I need code bdcbody unit.

And i have problem by reading fdl in bdcbody. Allways reads with dots, when set high memory its allways loading something when click edit fdl... any ideas ?

can you tell how you coded the heated steering wheel? did you leave the original szl or changed it? was the coding only in the BODY? thanks

You need write right SA codes, and than recode with new VO kombi and bdc_body. SZL don't need to change.
