Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me what is the difference between Xentry Diagnostics OpenShell and Xentry Diagnostics PassThru? Even though my question seems stupid, I think it is useful to many users who can make a right choice according to each one's needs. Thank you in advance.

Passthru = j2534 interfaces
Openshell = MB interfaces pesona Wrote:Xentry passthru does not support these vehicles in DAS: Other then that I am pretty sure they function the same(haven't used passthru personally however). PKW using HHT means you can't work on old round pin cars. |

I use a kts520 with firmware upgrade to a J2534 with Xentry PT and work very well.
