hello everyone a friend has a e60 where the odometer is damaged , now we have buyed a  other cluster but the vin is wrong and the  milegae is  too big?

can the r270 prog change the vin and change the milegae? when we desoldering the eeprom?

and how i change the vin ? can i write any old vin with the new one? or i must change wit "FF" and then coding the car?

you can change VIN and mileage in dump without problem, however you have to know how to

R270 can do the job.
You can change the vin to the one of you cars of blank it with FF.

i find only one short vin in the eeprom 35080 when i only change this one that’s all ? in my f10 there was many vins. for that i ask .

i can change the short vin and change mileage and that’s all ? or i erase the mileage and then when i install the cluster it will takes from cas ?

no i have changed the vin i used the right letters and no "FF"

my old cluster hast a m35080v6 and the new was m35080vp

at the vp i cant change mielage at the m35080 v6 it was ok why i cant at he "vp" chip dont change the mileage?

and can i solder my old chip from broken cluster to the new one?

i have changed the one vin in the new cluster and it works perfect.
i have a 2. question. i have for a test changed the KM from 220000 to 212000 after read the chip it shows me 212000 but when i install the cluter in car then shows 220000.

ok good the cluster takes the really KM from cas becuase the cluster is lower.

but my question for understanding is.

near my home city gives a lot of people they fake the km on car for money and the ask the peoples if they would all km changed or only the oddometer (this will be cheaper )

but when the oddometer is changed then the car takes KM from cas and overwrite it. how they can make this that the cluster dont takes the orignal km from cas ?
