Hi All,

Hoping somebody can help with this

I have an E90 with 250k+ on the clock

The oil service indicator light was on when the car was purchased and now the oil has been changed and a full service carried out.

However I cannot reset the oil service light via the normal methods and it reads 0 whenever I try to reset it.

I have read that is can no longer be reset once the miles exceed 186k

Does anybody know if and how I could code this out to turn the oil service light off so it doesn't ding everytime the car is started?

No, it works even after 300.000 km.

Is the oil filter changed for sure?

In the case of an error, the CBS engine oil service indicator in the instrument panel must be deactivated (switched off).From ISTA D 2.18.0, there is a service program in the tester that you can use to switch off the CBS engine oil service indicator.How to use the tester:
1) Press the "Actions" button.
2) Press the "Service function" button.
3)Level 1 "04 Maintenance and handover inspection".
4) Level 2 "CBS vehicle data correction".
5) Level 3 "Engine oil deactivation".
6) Press the "Start search" button.
7) Run the "SCBS_6006 Engine oil deactivation" service program.
Note:In future, the vehicle must be serviced after fixed intervals.The customer must be explicitly informed about this.
