ISTA and orig. ICOM Next can not flash HU-B Unit and Kombi -Abbort of programming
Hi Guys,
tried to flash the F39 (X2) of my wife with newest ISTA and original ICOM next. Everything went well except the flash of the HU-B and Kombi ECU. While flashing the Central Display shows a Bootloader but no software will be flashed. ISTA tries this a couple of times but then shows a message and a red symbol that this step was abborted. Unfotunateley BMW connected drive is now not longer running. I guess because the Software beteween HU-B and the other ECU´s is different. Actually my wife is not in a good mood in cause of my action I tried allready a power down also ISTA tried it, but wihout success. What can I do now? Thank you very much! BR Simon |

Did you try to use a dhcp server? Even on your laptop not necessary a physical router with dhcp - eg dhcpsrv http://www.dhcpserver.de/cms/

Hi,
thanks for your fast responses. Firewall is fully disabled. Actually no Router or DHCP Server is running. The Icom next is directly connected to the Laptop. Thanks again! Will try DHCP Server now! |

Use DHCP for flash with ICOM Ort just use a Ethernet Cable and E-Sys.

Install a software dhcp server like i posted above, connect icom ethernet cable to your laptop ethertnet port and try like this. Make dhcp scope with range of 169.254.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0.

Make dhcp scope with range of 169.254.0.0 netmask 255.255.0.0. I've got everything set, but with little different config. Static IP on Ethernet - 192.168.68.99, subnet - 255.255.255.0 Icom set on 192.168.68.85, subnet as above, gateway 192.168.68.99 Run dhcp server connected to ethernet adapter and everything seems to be good, but there is "DHCP enabled - No" in Ethernet status. I suppose it should be "yes", when DHCP server is on. Am I right? Only BMW services:

Tried a couple of hours but with no look. ICOM is not reqesting a DHCP IP from the Client with DHCP Server running. It looks like that the ICOM itselve is playing DHCP Server?
Is the setting right? |
