Hi,

I am working on a vehicle that has been to a few workshops and I suspect that the mechatronic has been changed.

I am looking for the VAG Number for this transmission.

Audi A3 2009
1.8T FSI
WAUZZZ8PX9A063260
Model Code: 8PAA6G


VAG number in ECU now 0AM300053A  version 3460 (maybe correct for this model?)

At the moment when it is cold the gearbox is ok (after basic settings)
When it is warm it jumps in all the gears and gives fault codes 06011 and 06012

Any help would be much appreciated.

From your fault code it looks like you have warn clutch requiring replacement or firmware update need to widen threshold.

What was the reason to do basic settings......?

0AM The current version is over 3XXX and has reached 6XXX
So your version is too low

Vehicle is with a mate who has a transmission shop and he has rebuilt many DSG transmissions over the years. He has opened the transmission and mechanically he thinks it is okay. A few other garages have had a go at repairing the unit and we know that this is not the original mechatronic.

We think that this is a software issue and I want to install the latest and correct software. If I had the old mechatronic I could read the software type and install the same on this unit.

The gearbox is fixed now.

This software should have been 0AM300045B.

After a bit of digging around I found a bulletin that mentioned that this number has changed to 0AM300048M.

I installed the latest version for 0AM300048M and now happy days.
