RE: WAKE UP ERROR ON SOME ECU ONLY
Not tried it yet but I believe you need to use the blue wire connected to the extra wire on the obd lead and connected to the k-line on ecu, going to get a pin out for ecu and maybe give it a try.

RE: WAKE UP ERROR ON SOME ECU ONLY
sometimes is ecu or car problem.
I had the same problem with an old Opel Meriva, with delco ECU MT35. I took another ecu with same number, plug it, and i was able to read it.. On the same car.. |

RE: WAKE UP ERROR ON SOME ECU ONLY
I believe that the vauxhall / opel corsas and merivas are quite common for ecu problems, alien tech actually list a separate obd cable for volvos so I'm assuming they may use a different pin layout for the obd socket and this may be why the extra wire is required, I just can't seem to find any information about it, and the focus uses same engine and ecu I believe so that may be where my problem is.
