BMW F13 CIC to NBT retrofit
Hi,

so I got roped into coding/finishing a BMW F13 CIC to NBT (With B&O sound) retrofit that was removed working from a car and installed in this car. So the car has:
- NBT w/ B&O sound, everything wired up, K-CAN2 from ZGW
- Display that came with the said NBT
- Car Original iDrive controller/wheel

- (Probably) Original ZGW 02 HIGH PLUS w/ MOST
- Retrofited 6WB that works, but no 6WB in VO when I got to the car (I suspect a CAN blocker is involved too, but can't confirm)

So after rewiring the K-CAN2 from ZGW to NBT the IHKA & company started behaving (with K-CAN connected as original CIC, the IHKA restarted) and coding the ZGW with the popular method located here (esys, basevariant change from ZGW to ZGW2,...) I get the communication with NBT, Amplifier, Combox, KOMBI...
The NBT has "transport mode active" and the display doesen't turn itself on. If I turn it on with ISTA-D it works, but input doesen't work (I suspect I have to get the iDrive controller on K-CAN2 too?). Also if ISTA-D or E-Sys is used to remove said transport mode, I loose all communication with NBT, KOMBI... untill I flash the ZGW again. I tried coding the NBT to the car, doesen't work - as some FDL codes or VO codes/options mismatch (tried adding and removing various VO codes - no luck). Also didn't have luck with figuring out how to Flash the NBT with E-Sys.

So I'm out of ideas. I saw that some people do MOST delete when retrofitting the NBT - I don't know if that is needed or even possible with 6WB (that has MOST). Any pointers would be highly appreciated!

RE: BMW F13 CIC to NBT retrofit
Hello,

If available, dismount Combox, then only MOST from NBt to cluster and to amplifier is needed.
Controller would need kcan2 connection, too.

So I need to disconnect MOST from ZGW for sure? I'll check Combox and controller.

Thanks for info!

RE: BMW F13 CIC to NBT retrofit
combox and nbt can't work together. you have to remove combox from the car and close the MOST

If you flush ZGW to ZGW02

You should not connect most to ZGW.
close most of ZGW
Of course, do combox as well
