This hc908 mcu is secured. Long time ago, for me, only method has been ETL programmer with mcu out of circuit. Don't remember what versions of carprog and xprog I used at such time. Maybee more new versions work fine and you don't need to take out mcu from board.

Pinout for VW52 ....just join diagnostic Launch or Autocom or Vcds and clear errors ...
