e39 kombi vs ike with wide monitor
Hi. Ive got a Bmw e39, which from factory got low instrument cluster ( kombi), and retrofitfed wide monitor. Problem is, that i have no sound in vehicle. I see radio stations in monitor, but no sound is comming. If You plug e46 radio into the trunk instead of radio unit, radio is working. I think its because of low instrument cluster. Maybe There is something about coding I dont know?
I can access all modules thru I bus with diagnostic. Only no sound |

If you retrofit the HIGH kombi then you must separate I (infothemen) and K (karosserie) bus.

but, car has low kombi, but wide monitor retrofited? where is the point here? I can access them on diagnostic, but no sound

If you have wide monitor of front, then you must be BM54 radio modul under the trunk left.
The BM54 has know amplifier failure. Vojnó

The BM24 have amplifier if it's no DSP!
In the BM24 has grounding problem inside, did you checked it? No sound at all? Vojnó

car also have hifi amp, not dsp. If I connect any bmw radio instead of bm24, I have sound and Can control radio from trunk.
bm24 is 100% good, checked grounding insine, and tested it in other car. I believe the problem is because of low kombi, not ike. I can see radio stations in monitor, can sellect them, but no sound

As I said, the wide monitor communicates with I BUS, which is only for IKE!
