XZBMW  NBT retrofit adapter advice
Hello,

I plan to update my E91 with an NBT evo including an ATM and maybe a DVBT2 Tuner.
I got nearly everything ready apart from the adapter and this is where the trouble begins and why I'm asking here what to choose.

I found the following offers in my search:

Bimmerretrofit
CarSystems
CustomRetrofit seems to be the same Hardware as CarSystems but with different Software??
BMWNBT Not a lot of info on that one at all.

So now my question is if there are any comparisons between these (I could only find sparse info) and which one is considered the best for a full scale retrofit?

RE: NBT retrofit adapter advice
stay away from bimmerretrofit , carsystems is the best

customretrofit and BMWNBT are same company , the different is that BMWNBT adapter you see on the website can't provide same features as carsystems adapter und it can only do basic stuff .

for advanced options and dynamic line rear camera as well as front camera switching , they buy adapter from carsystems and resell it for more money .

RE: NBT retrofit adapter advice
Custom retrofit
And dvbt of eseries not compatible.
Take care when you buy need fseries module.

Eseries amplifier also have “echo” problem
But for me are soportable.

Third party cameras in emulator nor are compatible
Only way for cameras is trsv module, Icam rvc, icam high

The rest are perfect, full integration. I’m happy

RE: NBT retrofit adapter advice
Thanks for the information.

I already go a f30 dvbt tuner so that will be no problem.
I might get a new amp depending on the severity of the "echo problem" and if I can get a cheap one.

@ruben_17non what do you mean that third party cameras are not supportet. Isn't that one of the main features of these adapters?

in order to have rear camera with EVO , you need to install either TRSVC or ICAM , basically OEM camera system , the aftermarket options are rare and very limited due to the NTSC compatibility issue between EVO and aftermarket camera .

RE: NBT retrofit adapter advice
Good to know. So it would be best to use an adapter without camera input and get an ICAM and a f30 rearview camera.

ICAM is the camera which has built in ECU , all in one device , just make sure you get ICAM from Fseries because Gxx ICAM based on Ethernet while Fxx ICAM based on CAN signal

this is what i have in my F31 currently ,

Fitting that in will be a pain in the a** but better a good solution than an easy solution. This camera also has the parking lines already integrated it seems.

it is hard in E9x / E6x , I only did ICAM in E6x once and I had to use Chinese camera , and did a hell of fabrication work to fix the ICAM in the housing , but at the end it was worth it , the picture quality of ICAM is unbeatable and yes it has dynamic lines built in .
