Hey everyone,

Hoping someone can help me clear the SRS crash data for my car, I tried searching through other similar models with cleared crash data but I'm afraid to attempt clearing it myself and messing something up.

Extra info as required by the airbag sub rules:
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
ECU type: Bosch 0285012019
HW number: 68222877AA
EEPROM: 95128WT

I will be sure to give thanks/rep and mark the thread as solved immediately after burning the new BIN and testing.

One last question: if multiple replies are made with different FF/00 edits, is there any major difference in what one person does to clear the data vs another person? Or would they both be generally safe?

Hey volavka,

I reinstalled the SRS module today, cleared all the stored codes in the SRS module, but I’m now getting B2207 after clearing.

I'm wondering if maybe there's need to be more data removed (or possibly less data removed?) that could fix the error? I skimmed through the BIN but it's hard to say where the crash data starts/ends.

I'm going to pull the SRS module back out so that I'm able to write new/updated BIN to the EEPROM in the meantime.

Just an update, for closure's sake: I used a paid service to clean the crash data and the B2207 error is gone! Comparing the BINs, it looks like there was a small amount of crash data left and a few bytes deleted that should've been left in the cleaned filed, but I still thank you tremendously, volavka!

I will use this cleaned BIN in the future to help other people with Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge Bosch modules with crash data.

I tried marking thread as solved, but can only use [Updated] -- if an admin can change, it would be appreciated.
