Hi. I have a Peugeot I came across. It was definitely devoured by a number of mechanics previously, and been two years since it was grounded.

A 2008 peugeot 308, 1.6 HDI diesel not working. I found two sets of ecu kits, one on the car,t he other in the car. I tried to read the pin for the one in the car, using a clone Abrites, and the car just cut out all power, as if the there was no battery connected. I then connected the other BSI, and it powered. I read the PIN and it worked like a charm, I programmed a new key to it, and it was successful, but there was a 'awaiting for response from BSI' message in ECU. 

Diagbox showed ECU as locked. No wipers or windows working at this point. I changed the ECU to the second one, not same part numbers, just a slight difference, but informed got from the same type and model of car.
BSI successfully matched to ECU. 

Crank, no Start still, no fuel coming to the injectors. Checked with Diagbox, P0193 and P1351.

No fuel to the injectors, no wipers working, no windows working, etc. Any advice is highly appreciated. Did I brick the first original BSI? Did I program the BSI and key well?

hi
U have to change full kit ( ecu and bsi) or read pin from ecu and wirgin bsi and log to bsi with know pin....or simply repair old bsi
  btw JC bsi only bench with abrites

the problem in code pin from ecu, so check connection CAN ecu bsi and make pin code in ecu end virgin in bsi and key.

I replaced with full kit. However, I want to use the old BSI. It is non responsive. It appears like it is dead. I recall reading on this forum,( been looking for this excerpt) that this BSI can be awakens with a car charger connected.

Hi, so, perhaps I am entering the wrong key words, but I have failed to find what I want help with on the forum.
Astra H, 2005 Z20LER. Keys lost, client purchased a 'new' key, actually two new keys from China with PCF7941 transponder remote key. Accessed pin by OBD, and tried to program new key. Got a failed response, with key problem.
I replaced the transponder with one I know to be unlocked. Still no joy. I had made the mistake of deleting all keys, so I cannot do the keys from eprom.
The question is, what could be wrong? Does this remote key with PCF7941 require to be pre-coded as well?
I also tried pcf7936, same problem.

update, I managed to get fuel coming through, albeit in very low quantities. Am not familiar with diesel engines, my job was to program the BSI initially.
I checked the timing, and it was out and guessing 5/6 teeth. Is this type of engine a non interference engine? as in, has it got valves that can bend when the timing is wrong?

My only disturbing error code now is glow plug relay active, but glow plugs not activated.

Hello mate
You can repair your BSI original BSI on bench
Read manualy the EEPROM from BSI and save the file
Found one other Flash file and write with FVDI on bench (I have tutorial)

Or the problem is in ABS for the second KIT
Some Peugeot have the entry and exit CANBUS on other pin
