Hello! I am a newbie and trying to retrofit VC, MIB2, Steering on my 2015 s3!

Now, I am going to ask anybody who meet trouble like me.



Before RS3 retrofit steering wheel, I knew that steering wheel is plug and play. (except ttrs or r8 steering)
After retrofit RS3 steering, I could know  that it is not plug and play..(Maybe somebody is plug&play)

Now, My situation is that I can use 90% of buttons
In Left multi function buttons, I can use most of them, even view and back. (When I put view button , it works like menu)
In Right multi function buttons, I can use mos of them, execpt Call button. I do not know why
And paddles, They do not work. But, lighting is worked)


So I have been finding information for finishing retrofit..



At first, I checked wiring diagrams. But, they are same 
( I used erwin site with payment to know 2016~2019 rs3 diagram )

Airbag harness is consist of two connectors
12 pin is for column, 4 pin is for multi function with paddles
12 pin connector's Wiring is same,
but 4 pin connector's is difference.
 
However, in diagram, There is no infomation for 4 pin(Never find why fourth pin is there)

4 pin from airbag harness.
pin 1(purple)- Lin
pin 2(red)- B+
pin 3(brown)- ground
pin 4 is empty

4 pin from multifunction buttons
pin 1(purple)- maybe Lin?
pin 2(black)- B+
pin 3(black)- ground
pin 4(black)- I dont know (There is no information diagram of  2016~2019 rs3 in erwin )



So, I passed checking diagram. 
(If you try to change ttrs, r8 steering, You should swap pins)


Second one was checking coding data with vcds, odis. 



I could find something in vcds

First one is,
No ASAM data for: "EV_SMLSKLOMQB" (AU37) 
227607 - ROD - Unknown Error code

Second one are,
In adaptaion channel, 
ENG118779-IDE02583-Multi_function_steering_control_module Coding Value- Steering Wheel Tiptronic switch 
Error: Channel Not Available.
ENG118779-MAS06614-Multi_function_steering_control_module Coding Value- Version 
Error: Channel Not Available.

After finding errors,  I check part number of my steering column.
Because, When I tried to swap mk6 gti steering on mk5 gti. 
I had to change column to use multi fuction buttons

So I checked my column number, and 5Q0953549C is mine
After checking, I tried to fined somebody who swap steering wheel on rs3.. (but I couldn't)
But, not many information for rs3 steering.
I could find ttrs ttrs steering information.(I think ttrs and r8 were released around 2015 )
That is why they(ttrs, r8 steering) works with 5Q0953549C column.
However, RS3 was released from 2016 and 5Q0953549C was used until May, 2015)

So, I guess changing Column is solution or not..


In first photo,
As you see 5Q0953549C is until may, 2015
5Q0953549E is used until may, 2018
After may of  2018, column and lever are combined.
I think 5Q0953549E is that I need to change.


How do you guys think my problem? 

Is problem be solved with column 
or needed wiring changing?

But, I have already tried with VCP ( However, I am not good at VCP)
I was looking for ASAM means
Maybe, It could relative with firmware.. SO, I used VCP to flash, but I could not do.

I am not sure, only flashing steering column that make paddle works.

Hm.. Now, looking at column that end of E!

Steering column was not cause.
I am not sure anymore..
Maybe multi fuction buttos with wire harness is also be caused.

It was my fault
I jist replaced both of multifuction buttons with correct part number
