NEED HELP FLASH XPROG
Hi everyone,can someone please help me with xprog clone ,bought a 5.6 clone and it stopped working ,want to downgrade to 5.1,need to know how to flash it.

Hi,thanks for reply , the procedure a bit complicated,and I only have a universal programmer which has no adaptor for the chip , is there any other alternative.thanks

Hello yes you can connect directly to the programming vias of xprog and flash if your universal programmer supports the atmega64 

you will need a oscillator crystal or something capable of outputting frequency, signal generator oscillator chip etc 

If not usbasp is cheap couple of pounds and so is the qfp64 breakout board.

Hi,ok i will check the programmer if supports atmega 64 , can u explain wht is "usbadp",sorry to ask so many question ,but have never done this but im familiar with electronic stuff so i will give it a try .thanks again

Hello again usbasp is a microcontroller programmer that can program atmega64 and other chips it can be found on eBay etc for around 5 gbp it is small and only has few components search usbasp on eBay and you will find smile
