NBT or NBT evo
I'm looking at pre LCI 2015 F06. How do I tell if it's Nbt or NBT Evo?
Is it possible to flash it to the id5 interface? Thanks |

RE: NBT or NBT evo
It is NBT. You cannot flash it into NBT2 ID5.

I think NBT2 came the following year with 2017 Model Year. 2018 F06 Alpina B6 650ix GC; Space Grey; Vermillion Red Nappa Leather; Executive; B&O; Driving Assistant 2017 F15 X5 xDrive50i MSport; Glacier Silver Metallic; Black Dakota Leather; Executive; B&O; Driving Assistant; RSE |

If NBT2 ID4 was added 09/2015, it would also still be MY 2016, meaning 2016 MY year could have either NBT or NBT2 ID4, which is very strange. 2018 F06 Alpina B6 650ix GC; Space Grey; Vermillion Red Nappa Leather; Executive; B&O; Driving Assistant 2017 F15 X5 xDrive50i MSport; Glacier Silver Metallic; Black Dakota Leather; Executive; B&O; Driving Assistant; RSE |

Nothing to do with technical updates Typically MY+1 are usually from the 3rd quarter of the year, but yet again, nothing to do with technical or design upgrades |

Put the VIN in ETK/Realoem.com and go to headunits parts. If car was built in 01.2016 and NBT2 shows up for this car then you know it is a id4 unit. The parts list will also show you a column that says Valid from month.year, so that helps to determine too. |
