I have successfully installed XDOS, 
but when I execute start_xentry.exe, the XDOS startup image will disappear, Xentry.exe will report an error, 
Can anyone help me?

maybe is better to reinstall and start with Windows7.

I have reinstalled XDOS and can still use it at first, but after installing addon, it can't be used.

I have the same issue, mine is installed on win 7 ultimate 64bit. DAS runs fine but xentry shows the splash screen and does not start.
Did you find a solution ?

save your time

and format and reinstall new windows and reinstall "xentry"
this problem happen , because failure for reading the library of " xentry "

that problem is happen, because two reasons

1: Shutting down your computer more than once is not safe  and Incorrect becouse  this method files damaged inside the hard disk, or the hard disk is not good

2: The computer is infected with a virus of the "injection" type. It is known that the "XENTRY" files are encrypted and these viruses do not understand that they are injecting only until they spread themselves

Your note makes me concerned. I've seen this 7-zip not found entry in the Xentry log file on a freshly installed computer. No suspicious installation exe-fixes used but the WIN7 DVD was from one of these forums, I think the Xentry installation media was also from a well known person, made ready for 32 bit windows. I guess either one a could be considered suspicious.

Nothing found with a couple of virus guards. Do you have guidance for further checking?
