ZVW  Tuning Caddy SDI for a turbo
ok ive asked on other forums but so far cannot find a solution

im willing to pay someone who can tune this ecu

its a 2.0 SDI caddy 2k van year 2005.

I have fitted a wastegate turbo from a mk3 golf tdi. it is controlled by a manual boost controller and boosts as it should. however i have tried and tried to tune the file myself and basically i cannot do it. whatever i do power fades out around 3000 rpm . i dont know if this is a limp mode or a AFR issue. I'm not after huge power but i know i can tune a mk3 golf to around 120hp without any issue so somewhere between 100-120 would be what id hope for.

can anyone help me??

i include my original file and full map pack

many thanks

this van has 2.5bar map sensor but does not have a MAF

RE: Tuning Caddy SDI for a turbo
How about some better injectors? Then start tuning after the new injectors are calibrated.

I doubt the SDI injectors will cope with the boost and you are probably leaning out.

Also how much boost will you be running? Seems alot easier to drop in a TDI lump

Also you going to need VCDS to check boost and AFR through lambda

Sorry forgot to say pd130 injectors in.

Will be running around 16psi but could run more on this turbo if needed.

Yes I am "leaning out" I would suspect.

Will get logs done in next couple of days

Okay mate get logs, it will be hard for someone to make a map without logs see. It will be alot of trial and error.

At my simplest guess you'll have to change drivers wish, injection quantity and possibly SOI maps

You could even have a play about with ECM Titanium or winols and a damos which can be found around the Internet. Also you will get the turbo to spool earlier with correct fueling adjustments. I know how this project feels as I turboed a golf mk3 1.6 rolling stones with no ecu work I used an FMU lol and colder plugs with a knock off ebay td025 and a 5th injector, crude as hell and so rich your eyes would water

Good luck mate
