VCDS PCI 18.9.1.0 error code - who can help?
Hi guys. I have a VW GOLG GTI 5 - 2008 and I cannot switch OFF the ESP via the button in the dashboard. It is always ON. The switch behind the button is okay but in the display the LED for ESP OFF never goes ON. The TUV (car inspection organisation) said the issue must be fixed. I lend an original VCDS from a friend version 18.9.1.0 (should be the last one) and I got the following error message (unfortunately in German only). Nobody yet (also Google did not help me) could tell me what module in the dashboard is defective. Has anyone an idea how to find out? Thanks buddies.

J285 is Instrument cluster. module is integrated.
Do you have fault code into module 17 ? |

No fault in 17. I think your problem is the incorrect coding issue in 19 Can Gateway. If you figure out what the coding should be then I reckon you will solve the problem.

reactivating the deactivated modules solved that problem. I guess the died battery caused that issue. thanks to all who helped to me
