Hi, 

due to an error with the high voltage system the car shows an error for the drivetrain and it the eml is lit.
after restarting the car, it works without problems, but the eml is still on.

when I delete all errors, the eml is off. but it comes back on, when the drivetrain error is shown.

is there any possibility to get rid of the active hybrid and let the car work like a regular 535i?

Some time ago I researched to remove hybrid system from F01. Gearbox must be replaced. And that was it - I quit.

But a new / used gearbox might be cheaper than replacing the battery.
Are you sure, that it’s only the gearbox? I think the high voltage plugs need to be removed and the whole car needs to be coded as a regular 535i. 

Have you read about anybody, who really did it?

Not only the gearbox, engine needs replacement parts, ecus, wiring. Too much. I haven't heard if anybody had removed successfully.

Was your hybrid running at full power with the hybrid fault? I have repaired one by replacing the transmission. Battery is faulty. Car runs but power delivery is very poor. Struggles to reach speeds above 100kph. Major faults are on the hybrid system and one about reduced engine speed/ power due to eme fault
