BMW 5 series E39
Hello together,
I have a problem with a old school E39, airbag light is on. ISTA is writing sensor for sideairbag right side - this sensor did I change with the left side, but after some time, the failure came back, again the right side. The sensor shouldnt be a failure then, or? What I cant understand exactly, the part number of the MRS ecu is 6900727 - ETK is showing, that this ECU isnt compatible to E39, onle E38, E52 and E53. How is it possible to help you to find the right part number without a VIN?

Mostly it's interchangeable, so wrong p/n probably is not the case of the failure, IMHO.

Hi, your MRS ecu p/n is okay. 6900727 was replaced by 6997257. If you changed sensor, problem must be in wiring or ecu. Error you sent refers to bad coding. Try to recode MRS with NCS expert.

i recded the ECU in the past, airbag light was off for round about 200km - then the y came back with the posted error. Thorsten BMW OEM FSC codes for Apple CarPlay 143 and 17B, AndroidAuto 1CA, MGU and MGU21 region conversation and others
