Q: Xentry passthru ( VAS5054a ) and Smart 450 2002
Hello MB experts , I am sorry if the question is already been answered but couldn't find anything through the search .
a friend has Smart 450 and we are trying to activate softtouch , after some researches I found the proper procedure but I don't have Multiplixer to run Xentry , then I found the passthru thread . I have VAS5054a ( clone ) so I would like to give it a try but before I even bother starting the downloads and new windows installation etc etc etc , does this method works on Smart 450 ? . If not , is there any other cheap interface than those C3 C4 C5 clone Multiplixers which can work with Xentry and smart 450 . appreciate your feedback and sorry for the very basic question but I am not a Mercedes guy at all . |

I did some researches and some say that C4 is good for old and new cars only if it has UDS chip to support newer cars , but still can't tell how to be sure the C4 which I have to order has UDS chip . |

I have many friends with Smart cars and they are happy with the C3 mux, If you want something better you can go for C4 or C5 mux, but quality is very variable between suppliers.
