Help changing NTG5 region using ECOM DOIP
Hi
Does anyone have any experience changing region on NTG5 comand units please? I need to reprogram a ECE head unit for USA (to add the USA timezones etc) Have already installed USA navigation on it no problem. I have the required REGIO telematic disc, but dont have the skills to change it in DTS monaco (I dont know how to change the region or how to flash the files, am only used to xentry online scn coding) I was told the following "So first change region and then flash with Monaco over DOIP." I have DOIP ECOM all working OK with xentry, vediamo and DTS Can anyone help with this over teamviewer, am happy to pay, just let me know cost, thanks in advance |

no need any flashing just change region to usa in comand thats it

We would be very grateful if you could tell us how to change the region of the actual unit.
We know how to change the region for navigation in Vediamo, the USA maps are installed and working fine. We are trying to change the base region of the unit from ECE to USA, that way when the firmware is flashed using monaco or vediamo, it supposedly loads all the correct files for the USA unit for example time zones and sirius satellite radio which is not available in europe) Even though the navigation region is changed in vediamo, when flashing with vediamo, monaco, or even with xentry, the software upgrades fine but leave all the european base settings, for example all the countries are over that side of the world , ie GMT GMT+1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc The same USA head unit mostly has north and south american countries in the time zones, USA, Canada, Argentina etc, I was told it was possible to change the base region, but perhaps its not. Any more advice would be welcomed. |

If you reset the Comand Head unit and afterwards you try it?

Yes have tried hard and soft reset first, still does not work
