Hello guys.
I have a problem after retrofitting 6wb instrument cluster to bmw f10. Original zeitkriterium was 0610. I changed it to 0312, added 6wb and vo coded dkombi and hu_cic. Now instrument cluster is not working. I searched the internet and read that updating ZGW might help. Has anyone experienced similar issue? Cluster does not have red dot, everything works fine, except the cruise control.
It is not the first 6wb I retrofited, but never had similar problem.

Very common, various modules have dependencies on other ECU’s, you need to bring the ilevels that have dependencies to the same ilevel. You can check for dependencies using esys TAL editor under pre requisites.

I am sorry, i made mistake. Instrument cluster is working. CRUISE CONTROL is not working. Is it then ok to update Kombi, ZGW, CIC and combox? Can this cause other problems?

You should Flash everything to the same I-Level. Cruise control or the whole Kombi has an interface to to ICM for cruise control function. If your I-Levels do not match then ICM might fail to call that’s interface.

Flash first your ZWG, that takes 3 minutes and then your Tempoat will run.

It can always come to problems and messages.  Start first with the ZGW and see if everything is running without error messages.
 If the vehicle is completely on a very old software version, it is advisable to upgrade everything completely.
 If the cruise control is not running, the I level between instrument cluster and ZGW is too far apart.

 Whether the software version of the ZGW or the instrument cluster is too old you can not see from here.

Either that or calculate Tal with ne Kombi then exclude Kombi from Tal execution.
After that calculate Tal for Kombi with changed FA or completely write the Tal yourself. It’s no magic. I can do that for you next days if you need it.

I would just update the whole car one ecu at a time but that’s me. I built a PSU from an old server psu and it pushes around 65amps. I would always start with ZGW as that’s the ECU that handles all of the communication. After that if everything works either leave it or carry on and flash everything else.
