Good day guys
Please advise, have a issue with transmission, 
I have a problem with car 8HP45 transmission mechatronics matchig on valve body -- BMW F30-- 316i - 2012year
mechanical part is broken, valve body as well, but mechationics tcu is OK,

I am ordering used whole gearbox, 

will it solve only problem transfering only mechatronics tcu unit to the used one?
Or do I need to preform matching mechatonics unit with valve body? 

any help will be appreciated

A used EGS mechatronics has deposited an ISN.  This ISN must be deleted and then the EGS flashed onto the vehicle.
 It is important that it is the same 8hpxx as was installed, so delete ISN and flashing.
 If the ISN does not fit, the vehicle will remain in P and no gear can be engaged.

 Or build old EGS mechatronics to the new gearbox, there is no need to delete the ISN and flashing necessary.

If you transfer the ecu from the old gearbox to the new one, nothing is to do.
I recommend to update the egs to the lastest i-step. If you need help....I can do this for you via teamviewer.

If your ecu is broken you must write the ISN into the new ecu...for this work you need expensive special tools like "bmw explorer" "autohex" or something else.

I’ve helped my friend to change the mechatronics last week. It’s F10 520i with 8HP45Z, and the brand-new mechatronics repair kit from ZF.

After installed the mechatronics, there are one unknown swfl in EGS, have to do swDeploy and cdDeploy in E-sys then all good.

You can keep the old TCU and transfer it to the donnor's valve body. I have done this to an f30 and all went fine. Just remember to delete the adaptation values after installing the new gearbox, as the TCU has stored the values from the old gearbox.
