I checked my documents once.

There is a technical product information from VW about this control unit.

This statement in the TPI is:
When the engine is warm, loud combustion noises can be heard at times while driving. This should be turned off with the software version that was flashed on this ECU.

I've packed you that TPI in the attachment.
Since I'm from Germany, I only use this TPI as a German version.

Thank you for your help. Today I read the information on the ecu case sticker. The original software version was 0420. The current one is 4369. If there are no more changes then I am satisfied with the answer
