N54 wastegate vale control issue 30ff code
Hi a got issue with my 2007 e93 engine 335i n54 230tkm new vacuum hoses rebiulded turbocharges. Car was driving on jb4 but now it's completely disconnected from car to prevent errors
As I look on others car after start engine on idle wastegate solenoid must transfer vacuum to the actuator, actuator move rod and close wastegate to create boost. On outlet side of both solenoid there is 13 inHg of vacuum and solenoid voltage is 6.5 v (on connected plug) I now that here is duty cycle or pwm signal but multimeter showing that value But on my car there is no vacuum on outlet on idle and voltage is 1.3v on connected but 7v after I disconnected plug wiring from ecu to plug have less than 1 ohm resistance I changed boost solenoids (used) and values is the same so I think solenoids is not issue maybe ecu ? What do You think? I pretty sure that this cousing big turbo lag and underboost issue sometimes over boost error |

RE: N54 wastegate vale control issue 30ff code
Is your car running a JB4 backend flash? Is software fairly recent?
Can you move the wastegates by hand? Wastegates should pull closed upon startup. You can actually see and hear when they close, the car is fairly loud with wastegates open and exhaust gets much quieter when they close. I've seen some rebuilt turbos with sticky wastegates, so I would make sure they move freely. |

RE: N54 wastegate vale control issue 30ff code
I don't flash jb4 now it's disconnected and I think it's better no underboost but overboost car shaking on FOT when automatic transmission changing gears
When I use hand vacuum pump I can freely move actuator it's closing about 16 inHg I think on both turbos My wastegates don't close after start |

RE: N54 wastegate vale control issue 30ff code
You might have bad boost solenoids. They can leak vacuum and prevent the turbos from working. Just one bad one will prevent both turbos from engaging.
