This unit and to be destroyed I can not go in to Bmw and ask for a code of a retrofit !

Now This  Tuesday arrive a new unit entrynav 2 but clean without fsc of the old owner !  

I must ONLY put my original oem fsc of my car  .

Someone can help me on the safe process to follow to put these fsc oem ,

I do not want to throw even this unit  !

you need to goto BMW and document that you have bought this unit legitimately. Then bmw can req. to code to unlock the unit.

It has nothig to do with fsc codes. Read the Release notes to ista+

...so it isn’t possible to retrofit such an used entryevo headunit about missing skills to viriginize such a headunit?

it is possible to install a used unit, .. but it must first be virginized, and then installed.

if it is installed without virginizing it, .. you risk  is component protection active, if you are not very practical in the installation.
now it must request the unlock code in bmw.

You can just patch the old unit and load after market fsc.

For the new unit just install and load OEM fsc.

I’m also interested in entrynav2 patch. But I doubt it even exists. Newer firmware puts up firewall so blocks all tries to connect.. I’ve one unit disassembled removed jacinto chip but I still couldn’t trace back rx/tx1 to other point of pcb. And big change they also blocked usb patching. Unpacking firmware with existing unpacker for evo also doesn’t work. Seems like the big developers have no interest in patching the small navigation units.

Also can filter seems no option to these units. It needs vin over canbus and also checks vin with atm unit. You will see that when you put it on bench with zgw Navi will grey out after some time and stores fault code swt-preufing. When sending vin number over canbus and checking all fsc codes it works again.

I’ve never been able to find a can filter that gets its vin from HU and send it back several times on boot up and after that with an interval of approx 5-10min to keep it accepted. And sadly I’ve not the skills to create stm32 software so I could overwrite old data from regular can filter.

i have try with tools32 reset the fsc without sucess, but i read on russian site that they have sucess with that

For EntryNav patch the unit must be opened because root cert is located in MCU.MCU must be read via JTAG and certificate replaced.Then the old FSC cleaned and installed new ones.

It is too much of a job for the entry level unit and many dont want to do it.
