Edc16-1 to edc 16-34
Replaced Bkd engine in golf that had edc16u1 with one with edc16u34, retrieved pin code from dash and ecu followed ross tech instructions but ecu wont accept data from dash, accepts security access using the pin codes any help appreciated can supply eprom read from the old and the new ecu if required!

Yes done immo off for short term fix but really need immo functional, have read both eeprom same chip but different hardware so cant clone and im not knowledgeable enough to edit the file with a hexeditor!

Same component function and pinout from ecu is different . 2.Swap go not login away.This ecu have CS/MAC Security! 3.Why this exhange with ecu? |

Who said they were 100% the same? However you are wrong about the wiring pinouts I checked both wiring diagrams for each year by vin and was supplied engine ecu and main wiring loom, part numbers on both the original and new wiring looms have identical part numbers |

Sorry to tell, but you better update your EDC16 and get newer software.
Is this mean a lot to you ☺️ I think you mess up with changing to another ecu ☺️ Back to basic....account reset to 2018

The ecu came with the replacement engine complete with wiring loom which I didnt need to change! Car is running better. Need immo working though

Let me clarify the car is running better on this engine and ecu than it ever did with the old engine and edc 16u1! Thanks |
