I’m not sure if the F13 has provision for the wave traps like the F10, but I’m sure you can replace them, it’s a simple swap and you can plug an aerial either side of rear screen and one in the diversity antenna. Hope that helps. Info on newtis I will remove the trim panel of rear roof pillar to see what's in the 6 series. |

RE: F13 TV Retrofit (EVO)
I also want to retrofit this option, but I stopped because I could not find the right coaxial TV cables (length, fakra connector). So my question is how did you manage this ?
On F10, I found there were 3 part numbers possible: 9339647, 9339652 and 9339673 But it seems to me that it was the cable between the TV and the NBT, not the coaxial TV cable. And for example for F13, I found nothing ! So how did you do for the coaxial TV cables ? Which part number have you taken? Thanks |

RE: F13 TV Retrofit (EVO)
I used fakra cable from ebay (chinese products), not the best solution, I should have used the bmw repair cables. The quality is different. Search here
You can find fbas cable too. |

So my question is how did you manage this ? I bought the RG174 FAKRA connectors from CO-STAR in the UK and 5m of RG174 cable and made the cables myself. Easy enough once i worked out how to not short/ground the cables I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

RE: F13 TV Retrofit (EVO)
Thanks for your reply...
Anyway, you confirm that you have to do it yourself. And for info, during my deep research on the topic, i only found the part number "61120400884" which is according the info for E60, E61, E63 and E64, but we don't know the lenght ! |

RE: F13 TV Retrofit (EVO)
That part is not correct for the TV module and wave trap/diversity antenna. The cable must have fakra connectors either end. If I remember rightly the aerial ends are all green, and the TV module ends are as you can see on the TV Module itself, pink, brown and green I think.
Just buy 10m of RG174 cable, 4 green FAKRA, 1 pink and 1 brown fakra connector. Amazon sell a coax crimp tool for around £20 I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

RE: F13 TV Retrofit (EVO)
I used this and this cable, too long is better than too short. But the solution of DayvG is great.
Some photos of the installation, I took the opportunity to put the two fakra cables for DAB at the same time I put the fbas TV cable. |

RE: F13 TV Retrofit (EVO)
It's a pleasure to do those retrofit. You can see ATM harness too. Now I don't know what to add. Maybe the front camera for 360 like picture (full oem), if it's possible. I already have some parts for the smart opener but it is necessary to motorize the trunk, I study the subject.
