It's for an E32 I've got with the carsoft diagnostics adapter.

Does it have some advantage? Against Dis and Inpa?

Its total crap. Back then (20 years ago) there was no INPA or DIS in public, so I also tried to use it. When INPA first leaked into public, it was like day and night compared with Carsoft.

You could use BMW tools - ICOM or older ones like OPS or GT1.

Is your carsoft adapter original or clone? I think for carsoft you needed real com port, not usb to com converter... But I may be wrong it was like in previous life And you may need windows from the time period... like Windows 95 or 98, maybe xp because I think it was accessing COM port hardware directly...

It's running XP so an old OS.
