Hello there everybody, my friend has a problem, he wants to buy this A8 from an old men, he was the first owner and the car looks like it leave yesterday the factory, low mileage and all original on this car, like in a dream. But now he dont know what to do, to buy or not, because the owner lost all keys and cant remember where he put them. The car is in his garage and car is unlocked, so car is open already. We asked in official Dealer workshop and went with the car papers there, they said no problem, 2 options: 1. new key via VIN number, but uncoded, so i think this will only be for open/close doors, maybe for ignition on only 2. option new finish key for start engine, but was very expensive price. So i asked myself, is there any cheaper way (tested solution) to start this car? My tools are Kess/KTAG, VCDS and delphi. I was thinking maybe make IMMO off in engine ECU ? My fried tried to start directly on key lock, car cranks and starts for few seconds, but than engine turns off. Any chance with my tools? thank you all and greetings

Maybe anybody? I think easiest way should be read with KTAG, make immo off in eeprom and write back. What do you think guys? Will this work ?

Thank you, but I haven’t tools for dashboard, I wrote all tools I have access to: Kess, KTAG, Delphi, VCDS. I never did IMMO off, so sorry for my low knowledge. Can you please say me if my solution will work too, open ECU and read via BOOT mode, eeprom file send to my file service for IMMO off and than write back with KTAG. Should work or ?

As MR rod told you and i wanna add don't you have an eeprom programmer to read the eeprom ?

@ raffy haddad: I am not interested in code new key. My question was if I can start the car when make Immo off in engine ecu. Nothing more I asked, i dont have other tools than These ones i wrote

Ok Bosch ME7.1 ecu ok is there master and slave ecu ?

Read eprom 95040 from ecu and post dump here, MPPS v18 will read the eprom by obd or open ecu and use programmer
