Hi,

What happens if you have enabled CarPlay via ENET method.... and on a dealer visit they update the car’s firmware to a newer I-Level (newer I-Step)?? Is it safe to get the dealer to update the I-Level when you have CarPlay enabled via ENET?

Does it just remove CarPlay? After updating, all of the rest of the NBT features work, except CarPlay? 

So to have CarPlay working again all you have to do is run again the ENET method to ‘re-enable’ it?

it depends on what you used to activate carplay.
if you used a patch, .. this is removed and the carplay deleted.
if the OEM code was used, .. no problem after the visit to the dealership (sometimes only a recoding of the function is required)

I used a patch. So all I have to do after updating... is run the PC program again to re-enable it?

Just a quick update.

Car was updated by dealer to I-step 19-03, CarPlay disappeared but all things in iDrive worked ok.

I ran again the ENET solution, first to enable CarPlay and again to enable Fullscreen. All worked perfectly.

Finally, I had to code again ID6light, Alpina dials, Tyre temps, etc.... and now I have Fullscreen CarPlay on the latest BMW firmware.
