How to tell if a SGO update will work with a certain module
Hi everyone, I have searched a lot but have come up with nothing.
Is there any way to tell if there is a newer SGO or FRF for a certain control module? Or if a certain file is compatible with a certain control unit? A side from a Technical Service Bulletin describing the update path. example, would 4L0910551F 0070 work on 4L0910551A 0050? I hope that makes sense, thank you in advance! |

RE: How to tell if a SGO update will work with a certain module
I think this question was directed to an enthusiast firmware updating specialist rather than a professional because professionals don’t take risks and don’t give out their traits secrets.
1. There is a website that you enter the control unit scan (VCDs) log and tells you if you have an update. 2. eBay part label comparisons for the car in question 3. gut feeling and testing 4. For some RHD check LHD part numbers (flashdaten). The part number is only different due to the trim design only. |
