Hello Respected Members,

I posted this here since I have a feeling this could be resolved with Vediamo and perhaps an alternative CFF rather than the traditional tuning method.

The vehicle has already had for some time (I am assuming by the current owner) a DPF delete performed on the exhaust system, however no ECU changes were made. According to the owner the vehicle still attempts to regen, causing excessive smoke and of course a CEL.

Can the EDC16 be flashed with a different .CFF that is not aware of a DPF at all?

Hi, usually you dont need to flash a different file. On the most Cars from Daimler you can do it by variant coding, this is the easiest solution. Or you read your car with any chiptuning tool and remove the DPF in the ECU Map.

Thanks for the reply.  I have had to do newer CDI modules and to disable SCR and DPF in the past, which did require a remap by a chiptuner to remove the code for the DPF and SCR, etc., however I know some vehicles are able to have a different CFF file flashed to the EDC (EDC16CP31 in this case) and alter the maps using Daimler maps.  The owner took it upon himself to remove the DPF, however it still attempts to perform a regeneration from time to time resulting in excessive smoke, etc.

I need to locate CFF(s) that is/are compatible and can be flashed onto that EDC using Vediamo.  I did not locate and option to disable the DPF in Vediamo (using VSBs or "unlocked" CBFs).
