ZVW  MPPS failed to write ECU and now it's not possible to read ECU ID
Hi everybody,

I borrowed my MPPS v16 to a friend in order to read/write a Passat 1.8t ME7.5 ECU,
the read was completed and he tried to write the same bin file but with no success.
The process stopped at 75% and when he tried to re-write there was no ECU ID and car doesn't start.
Is there any way to recover this unit? Can i use my MPPS v18 to re-write the bin file via OBD or i need to recover this ECU in boot mode?

Tried to remove the fuse and the instrument cluster completely and then tried to write the original bin file without reading the ECU ID first, but without success. Returned a message that ECU not found.

Do you think that it will be possible to write this on bench with MPPS v18 via OBD or Boot mode?

RE: MPPS failed to write ECU and now it's not possible to read ECU ID
I wrote the original file back to the ECU using MPPS v18 via ODB on bench and everything went fine (i haven't test on car yet).
The problem i have now is that when i try to read the ECU it's stacked on "controlling flash" message and even after 2,30 hours its not showing any progress. I can read ECU ID fine btw.
If i close the switch (bench button) and open again, returns to that message but without any progress and if i close the switch again and open back i get a "Security access" message (probably an immo issue?).

Anyone can help me understand that issue? Why it doesn't read?
