PPeugeot  ECU flashing requirement
Hi eveybody, this is my first attempt to disable egr and fap thanks to a help by a member of this group (did the modification to the file) i wanted to know what do i need to perform the writing with kess v2 chinese clone to a peugeot 508 with delphi dcm3.5 br2 via obd.

Like battery voltage, do i need a battery charger, how much time will it take to do the writing .....

If you have read it via Kess you'll be able tow write it also. If the checksum of the modified file is wrong, Kess may ask you for the read file and convert it before writing it into the ECU.

Always use maintainer on anything you flash. Time depends on ecu. A few minutes for yours I'd say.

If i use another running car beside the one i flash and link the two batteries will it work ? i have no maintainer (i assume battery charger)

Depends what the amperage is of the support car alternator and gauge of the cables you are using. I know people who have done it that way but there really is no better way than to use a proper maintainer, or at least a charger that can easily output 20-40a. If your fans kick in during the flashing process that's a lot of current being drawn. You should aim for a steady voltage and current consistently as under or overvoltage could corrupt your flash. Ive even known a read to be corrupt with fluctuating voltage.
I guess it's like Russian roulette!
