XZBMW  <Solved> Is it possible ISTA+ connecting car via router?
Hi, let me ask  you guys to help me.

I did software update F06  by  ISTA+ with  ICOM A2,  but   Kombi & NBT were  failed.
It is known problem.   When  I use  ISTA-P,  I just use router between PC & ICOM, then always  job was done
successfully.

But  ISTA+....

I use  router between PC & ICOM,  in  I tool Rader, I can see my  Icom free  with assigned  IP  192.168.xx.xx.
But  when I try connect car, Icom  can not find  KL15 & 30, then  failed  to enter  car.

I tried DHCPServer software  and  ICOM  can be seen in ITool Rader with IP 192.168.68.85.
When try to connect car,  same result, ICOM can not find KL15 & 30, then impossible to enter car.

Question is..      Is it possible to connect car with  Icom  via router?  What is my problem?
Genuine  Icom Next  can make connection via router?  Clone Icom miss that kind of function?

Here is my setting as bellow

DHCPSRV.INI

IPPOOL_1=192.168.68.1-254

ICOM

IP 192.168.68.85
Subnet 255.255.255.0

This setting works well on ISTA-P.  ISTA-P can find  KL15 & 30.
But  ISTA+  not....

Does  someone know  what  else  should I do?

Just made a  video.

HI, Node, thanks for post.

In ISTA+ VCI Config, I choose " HO-ICOM/ENET Local and ISIS network".

And no touch except  for it.

Should I touch something?

In ICOM Configuration manager, as attached,

Never seen such behaviour. Maybe firewall issues. Do you have it enabled?

Hi! Some years ago I have the similar problem. Here is solution:
https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=9162
Yes ISTA works with KOBI and HUD only via router with DHCP server. On some PC virtual routers dont work. Real router is better

RE: <Solved> IS it possible ISTA+ connecting car via router?
Thanks for people giving me advice.

My problem is solved.

I installed  Virtual machine  to have  very old  software  like  WDS, Old TIS  with ISTA on Windows10.

Virtual machine  has "VMware Network Adapter"  and it affected ISTA+ Connection  via router.

I just disabled it  and  now  ISTA+ can see  KL15 & 30  without  problem.

Here's  Video

yes you can config you ICOM to DHCP using a router. I did mine yesterday and update my car factory software without any error. Here is the link below that i use. Hopefully this will help you.

Rule 3: Do not Post Links on the Board! External links must be attached in a notepad file.
