MPPS failed to write ECU and now it's not possible to read ECU ID
Hi everybody,
I borrowed my MPPS v16 to a friend in order to read/write a Passat 1.8t ME7.5 ECU, the read was completed and he tried to write the same bin file but with no success. The process stopped at 75% and when he tried to re-write there was no ECU ID and car doesn't start. Is there any way to recover this unit? Can i use my MPPS v18 to re-write the bin file via OBD or i need to recover this ECU in boot mode? |

Tried to remove the fuse and the instrument cluster completely and then tried to write the original bin file without reading the ECU ID first, but without success. Returned a message that ECU not found.
Do you think that it will be possible to write this on bench with MPPS v18 via OBD or Boot mode? |

RE: MPPS failed to write ECU and now it's not possible to read ECU ID
I wrote the original file back to the ECU using MPPS v18 via ODB on bench and everything went fine (i haven't test on car yet).
The problem i have now is that when i try to read the ECU it's stacked on "controlling flash" message and even after 2,30 hours its not showing any progress. I can read ECU ID fine btw. If i close the switch (bench button) and open again, returns to that message but without any progress and if i close the switch again and open back i get a "Security access" message (probably an immo issue?). Anyone can help me understand that issue? Why it doesn't read? |
