e46 330d 204hp asc conversion
Hello guys, i own an 320d non facelift 136hp with asc, just swapped the engine and entire power train, brakes, etc, the whole car now runs 3.0d 204hp from an 2005 330cd with dsc..
The 2005 donnor car was bought from scrap yard and had on it only engine powertrain brakes suspension, nothing else. When i bought it i drived around to see how it works and the car was working great. Few days ago i ve finished modifiing my electric instalation from the 320d, mounted the engine and the rest of the parts needed for 3.0d engine and take it for a ride.. no errors on dde, that was my goal so i started to put the whole car back together. There are 3 problems. The abs sensors on rear axle dont work becouse they are dsc sensors, i have mounted my 320d sensors, still not working. So no speed shown on the dash board.. the car seems to be in some limp mode becouse of the abs/asc/dsc errors it boosts 0.8bar~ till 3000rpm and then drops to 0.4-0.3 bar.. it s possible that it is some limp mode or i have to change the turbo actuator? no error on charge air pressure.. The car was manual, now it s automatic, the manual/sport mode doesn t work and i think it has to do with the speed sensors.. it is possible coding or programing the ecu to work with the asc? there are some prints with some of the errors. On the first print there is present charge air pressure error becouse i ve tried to drive the car without the turbo actuator pluged in |

RE: e46 330d 204hp asc conversion
You say ''no error on charge air pressure'' but I see charging pressure fault.
No idea about DSC fault |

He sayd that the charge air pressure was present only becouse he drived the car without the actuator cable plugged in

RE: e46 330d 204hp asc conversion
His asc is not correct coded/flashed.
Start by asc flash. Basicly in e46 you have 3 ecu to flash: dde, asc and egs. You have mamual trans so no egs. Flash dde and asc and code it to car. Engine ecu is from 3.0?you need to find correct flash or change ecu If I helped, please magic buttons thx+rep

Please read again.. my car was manual 2.0d, swapped with 3.0d 204hp automatic. how can i code the asc to work with dde 5.0 of the 3.0d engine? The problem with manual/sport mode on the auto gearbox was solved.. the donnor car was rhd and my car lhd so the plastic trim that covers the gear stick on auto i wasn t mounted yes becouse it dont fits on lhd interior, it s just cutted for rhd.. when i plugged in the 2 connectors meant for this trim the m/s mode started to work again. On my 320d i fitted the 330d egs+ ecu+ key slot.. so the car is working verry good, drives well but no power after 3000rpm.. i ve keept driving it to see if new error codes will appear but it s all fine with the dde.. now i m waitint for an rear asc sensor for 328i auto to fit on the 330d becouse they have the same lenght and i think it will make my speed clock work again. I have done some logging and swapped the pressure converter that controls the turbo with the one of my 320d becouse that was pretty much in good shape, 1 year old or so.. they have the same code on reaolem.. the boost raised little bit under 3000rpm it goes beyond 2000mbar absolute pressure, but the same storry above the 3000rpm.. I ve unplugged the maf sensor and did a run with&without it plugged in and the values are verry close if not the same.. so.. how can i test if the maf works good or not? Can somebody help me make the car working asmod? the ecu sw is 361860. Also i unmounted the maf and saw that it s pretty dirty.. searched the internet a solution to clean it but i cant get my hands on special spray or something to clean only if i do some order on the internet so i m looking for a quick solution, the gasoline will work? |
