ive attached a link to a picture of what I read in mpps, have I chose right selection for my cars ecu
ive had someone help me map this file but just want to be sure I read is it correct?
, don't wanna screw up my motor by flashing the modded file if before modded was incorrect

ECU should be EDC16U1 i think

If your not sure I would read using all 3 options, that way if you mod the wrong file at least you will have the correct original from one of these 3 reads.

But what happens if I mod wrong file and write with mpps?
will mpps only write correct file?

It will let you write it, but if it doesnt work you will have the original file to put it back on the car.

No chance of locking me out though, and not be able to original back?
would mpps have read my ecu and allow me to save the .bin if id made the wrong selection ecu in mpps?
youd think it would have a error for the 2 which arent same as my ecu,if try and read with wrong ecu selected in menu

Yes i have read from 2004 Golf and had the same issue, i just read the ecu 3 times using all of the options. It successfully read with each option and when i wrote back it worked first time.
