RE: bmw F10 battery light on Idrive
I can't see how these codes could mean that battery needs replacing. They say that something is legally discharging the battery. And it was discharged too much. You need to find that something legally preventing deactivation of terminals. Or do you keep ignition on for very long periods? I need context in which this happens.

(27-10-2019, 16:28 PM)iyade46 Wrote:That is not okay, if original battery was 100Ah you should at least replace it with a battery of 100Ah or higher capacity.(27-10-2019, 13:45 PM)Twoone Wrote:(27-10-2019, 13:25 PM)iyade46 Wrote: bmw F10 battery light on IdriveDid you changed battery or did you only do registration of the battery? If you replace it with higher capacity registration in ista in not enaugh. You need new capacity coded by ESYS or ISTA+ Registration with ISTA is the best, INPA or Carly can fail to delete all history. But after replace battery and registration it is important to leave the vehicle in rest state for at least 3 hours. But as Node said already, i doubt tat replacement of the battery was necesary. Fault indicate low State of Charge. Could be caused by something draining the battery or because of short driving profiles or longtime KL15 without running engine. |
