I’m after some info which I’m sure people here have. I would like to upgrade my CAS4 in my 2015 F10 with a second hand comfort access version. I have no knowledge of the process but have done a little reading. Would it be possible to dump my CAS4 including key information etc and write this information to a donor CAS4. I’m an enthusiast that likes to do most things himself as I like to learn as I go. What’s the cheapest tool that could possibly do this over OBD and am I likely to get the results I expect. I imagine it’s not as simple as it seems. I have read about ISN and the unit being tied to DDE. I’m hoping that it’s as simple as dump CAS and write this dump to new CAS4. 

Any info would be great, failing that is there anyone in the Uk On the south coast that could help?

Hi , right you need special tool for that , the cheapest tool is CGDI Pro , can do it over OBD

Thanks mate, I’ll have a read. With that tool it would be read original cas then fit new cas and write original dump? Any issues regards to keys etc?

Never did it by OBD , always i read full dump on bench (it is safest way) but it should work in the order you mentioned,but i think they already fonction in that tool to exchange CAS

That’s great, thank you. When you work with a CAS on the bench do you have to solder the wires to the board or are there safer methods? I’m really paranoid that I will screw up my board and ruin the CAS. As far as reading the CAS I’m assuming the safest way would be to just dump my cas then write that dump to the donor cas, from there I would unlock the donor cas with my dump to enable writing new keys etc? That way my original CAS remains safe? Or does dumping the CAS require it to be unlocked (if that’s the term) I’m watching lots of videos but I don’t fully understand the process quite yet.

i can help you add the $322 Comfort Access option to your VIN with BMW and then you can order all the parts as new from your local BMW dealer (for your car's VIN of course)

So it would be as easy as I give you my details/VIN etc, you add the 322 comfort access to BMW servers as I assume you have access. Then I order a CAS from my local BMW dealership and I get a new CAS that supports CA that has all of my vehicle details/matching keys/ISN etc?

I would have agreed but I believe I have been offered help that will make this possible with BMW. Once 322 is part of my VO with BMW I believe it will be possible
