BMW F20 transmission swap question
Hello,

Does anyone know if the automatic transmissions from BMW F series are swappable? I have a BMW F20, 120d (184HP) with some minor issues on the automatic transmission. I have already replaced the mechatronic but the problem still persists. So, the transmission that "donated" the mechatronic is from a BMW F30, 318D. The BMW OE number for the mechatronics are the same, but the transmission OE code is different. Both transmissions are ZF GA8HP45z. So, the question is...does the donnor transmission is compatible with my car, even the OE code is different, and it was installed on a F30 318d?
