Hello, two questions. I'm new in Forum. I flashed my t5 (also edc16u31) with MPPS to disable EGR. Could you check this file, if EGR is off and the file OK?

dont write that file to the van pondosinatra , it doesn't look good, post ori file for egr off then you can compare for future reference

Ok, thank you very much. I tried it with that "ADS EGR Remover". That is the File I read out with MPPS. Is that ok?

no, that read is not good, for good egr solution full read is best, ktag or bdm100

open your file in hex editor and take a look, its almost empty, don't write anything to your car with that tool, goodluck.

OK, thank you, I only have MPPS. In "Data Options" I can choose "Full (Where possible)" instead of "Data only (Default)". Is there a chance or wouldn't it work with MPPS?

For full read ecu must be opened and read on the bench, maybe egr off is possible with obd read on your ecu but not with the cable you have

Thank you so much. I'm not as far at the moment. I'd like to test reading out file and modify it with the program i mentioned (ADS EGR remover). After that I'd like to look for the "hardware". Is my original file OK now? Because if I have a bad cable, I think I would destroy my engine control unit!?

Ads egr remover is crap, you should get a good ktag clone for your car, and get a good read,,I've never used mpps, maybe your read is good but I Don't think it is, download some t5 ori files and and look at them with HxD, compare to your read, best to do these ECUs on the bench, goodluck
