Dear Members,

I have an Audi A5 1.8 TFSI 2014 EA888 Gen3 Engine Code CJEB Manual gear.

Only on cold start engine vibrate a lot for about 1 min and the RPM goes very low and sometime shutdown. If it does shutdown and you restart it everything is fine, no vibration nothing and car runs fine as well.

If if does not shutdown but vibrate a lot, after the 1 min of cold start it does run super good.
Car has a super powerful and drive perfect.

Some information:-
At cold start the high pressure rail is 125 bars and low pressure side is 5 bars
Just after you start the car the high pressure bar drop from 125 bars to 60 bars (sometimes lower only if it will shutdown) and low pressure side stays at 5 bars. I got same result from both cars.  So  I can conclude that my high pressure and low pressure side are working good

I changed the following and problem is still present
1. High pressure fuel pump (Original)
2. All 4 high pressure injectors (Bosch)
3. High Pressure sensor (On rail) Original
4. Low pressure pump in tank
5. All 4 low pressure injectors

See attached a video and live values of it. I tried with another car A4 2015 same engine CJEB and all values are same but there is no vibration.

Any idea?

Not always problem is in mechanical components..
very often rough running conditions during cold start are fixed by a simple software update for ECU.
Have you checked the current software of the ECU, and if there are any TSB (TPI) for this unit?

update your ecu and replace intake manifold with swirl actuator and pcv valve

update your ecu and replace intake manifold with swirl actuator and pcv valve

PCV valve was replaced 5 months back.
 So i think no need. WIll try to update ECU and Renew the intake Manifold.
