Where did you changed the IP sir?
Into the vmware network settings?
Or into the DIS UNIX OS?

It has been couple years since I tried this, I'm pretty sure it was both Unix and VMware. Going from memory I think I changed all the IP's to 192.168.68.x. I saw a youtube clip yesterday, so it renewed my interest on giving it a another spin.

basically you need a soft(java base) simulator to easydiag(emulator) then vmware image of DIS/Progman from BMW (also was on this forum) and that's is all

I downloaded the files in Twoone post

I got the following IP's assigned:

ICOM
169.254.92.38
255.255.0.0
0.0.0.0

DIS system configuration
169.254.92.40
255.255.0.0

Lan Adapter
169.254.92.50
255.255.0.0

I can ping the DIS (169.254.92.40) and (ICOM) 168.254.90.38. I've reserved ICOM with DIS-ICOM. The issue is that DIS doesn't see the ICOM in diagnostic head assigment. I've followed the Virtual_GT1_User_Guide_v1-1. Firewall is off. Any suggestions?

Nvm it works, opossite form your settings i have on all 3 network devices setup same gateway adress

Had other things to do so this got put on hold, haven't look at it since. The use for it quite rare to be honest.

Considering that BMW released a DIS version recently for dealer use with ICOM, it most certainly is possible.

Exactly there is an app to book icom for the DIS
