In any ICOM, contacts 4 and 5 are closed and you can connect the ground to any one

Thanks mate, appreciate your help with that. Managed to finally power it up.

Do you know where i can download the latest firmware for my icom? struggling to find them online.

Download accordingly then install, Afterwards open folder ( directory down )

You need to check Hidden Items on Windows for the directory to be shown

C:\ProgramData\BMW\ISPI\data\TRIC\

put the power and ignition together then connect to your 12v positive source.  Connect the two grounds and then connect that to the negative side of your power source.  Power source needs to be no less than 1 amp.
